Timera Surgical Absorbable Suture is a single-strand absorbable synthetic (polydioxane copper) surgical suture device made of PDO (POLYDIOXANONE). Its most significant feature is its 360-degree bidirectional barbed suture. The suture is imported from Belgium and cut and processed in Taiwan. It has passed strict quality control and has good biocompatibility, eliminating the need for concerns about toxicity or safety after implantation.
PDO sutures, commonly known as protein sutures, have been used in heart surgery for 30 years and are a long-standing safe suture.
PDO sutures will be completely absorbed by the human body within about six to eight months.
