Gynecomastia: Tips
A man's chest is not necessarily pectoral muscle. It may look similar to a woman's breasts, which can easily cause distress and reduce self-confidence. In fact, the breast tissue of men and women is the same, but because women are stimulated by hormones, their breasts mature and grow, while men's breasts are suppressed by hormones, and their breasts do not have a protruding appearance.
If a man's breasts are full and bulging like a woman's, this condition is called gynecomastia.
Gynecomastia is not a disease, but in recent years, due to the aging population and obesity, the number of people with hypotestosterone has increased, leading to a gradual increase in the proportion of gynecomastia patients. This appearance symptom often causes social barriers and psychological pressure.

Causes of Gynecomastia
| Primary | The cause of primary gynecomastia is difficult to determine. It may be caused by genetic factors, while improper diet control or obesity may aggravate the symptoms of gynecomastia. |
|---|---|
| Pathological | Medical conditions that increase estrogen secretion or decrease androgen secretion can cause gynecomastia in men. Examples include malnutrition, adrenal tumors, chronic renal failure, testicular tumors, hyperthyroidism, sex chromosome abnormalities, pituitary tumors, and liver cirrhosis. |
| Other causes or similar symptoms | Long-term use of specific medications is one of the possible causes of male gynecomastia; or as men age, especially those over 50 years old, physiological factors may stimulate the development of breast glands, which may also cause male gynecomastia. In addition, there are some symptoms similar to male gynecomastia that require consultation, judgment and confirmation by a professional physician. For example, problems such as breast appearance caused by fatty hypertrophy, breast cancer, or mastitis. (Men can also suffer from breast cancer and mastitis) |

Breast-type symptoms
For breast enlargement, breast contouring can be improved by removing excess fat and breast tissue through a subareolar incision (the subtle junction of the areola and skin), thereby smoothing the breasts. If the skin becomes loose after removing the breast tissue and fat, additional skin resection may be performed to tighten the skin and smooth the breast shape.
Fat symptoms
Fatty breasts, caused by enlarged or sagging fat tissue, can be improved through liposuction. Liposuction is performed at the junction of the areola and skin, leaving only a visible puncture mark that generally fades over time.
Combined symptoms
The appearance of breasts caused by developed breast tissue and hypertrophy of fat tissue requires treatment. In addition to removing excess subcutaneous fat tissue, the protruding excess breast glands will also be removed to smooth out the natural appearance of the breasts.
